USER, DOWNLOAD LENOVO DMI TOOLS  FILE FROM THE LINKS BELOW:

Instructions:

1. Initial Setup:

   • Download and extract the file n1ctm04w.zip.

   • Run usbfmtpw.exe to initiate the process.

2. USB Formatting:

   • Format the USB Drive using the tool.

3. USB Drive Disconnection:

   • Safely disconnect the USB Drive from your computer.

4. Software Installation:

   • Now, extract u1u.zip using the password "LenovoUone".

   • Run u1.exe to execute the necessary software.

5. USB Drive Reconnection:

   • Reconnect the USB Drive to your computer.

6. Initiate Process:

   • Execute the software again.

7. Boot from USB:

   • Once the USB is prepared, boot your system from the USB Key.

   • Follow the on-screen instructions for further steps.

UPDATE (30/07/2021):

If the above method fails, try the following alternative:

1. USB Formatting (Alternative Method):

   • Format the USB Drive using usbfmtpw.exe as usual.

2. Script Installation:

   • Extract the contents of LenovoUone.zip to the Root directory of the USB drive.

3. Boot Setup:

   • Reboot your system and access the UEFI Boot Options.

   • Choose your USB Drive as the boot option.

4. Follow On-Screen Steps:

   • Follow the on-screen steps for further guidance.

Serial Number Update:

When updating the Thinkpad Serial Number, follow this format:

• Machine Type Model: 20S0002UAD

• Serial Number: PF2BMNC6

• Combine as follows: 1S + Machine Type Model + Serial Number

• Example: Final Serial Number - 1S20S0002UADPF2BMNC6
